Run Towards Purity

“"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body."”

1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV)

Reflection

I always found it interesting the Bible telss us to 'flee from sexual immorality.' In our current culture, where sexual immorality is often normalized, this message is crucial. By fleeing, not fighting, we acknowledge the spiritual and physical dangers of such sins. Paul's wisdom in 1 Corinthians 6:18 highlights how sexual sin uniquely impacts our bodies and spirits. It’s not just a moral issue but a deep spiritual concern that affects our relationship with God. As believers, we are called to pursue holiness and honor God with our bodies. This is a reminder of the importance of living a life that glorifies God in every aspect.

Insight

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians to address issues of purity and holiness, encouraging them to live in a way that honors God. Sexual immorality was not just a personal issue but a communal one that affected the entire church. This historical context highlights the timeless nature of Paul's advice and its relevance to our lives today.
