Digital Discipleship

In recent findings by MyCross, we see a fascinating trend: Christianity not only thrives but dominates the digital landscape. Over 11 million Instagram posts and 21 million monthly internet inquiries highlight a vibrant, online Christian community. This surge in digital engagement reminds us of Jesus’ prayer in John 17:17, where He asks God to sanctify us through truth—His word. As believers share their faith online, they spread the truth of the Gospel, transforming modern platforms into pulpits and pixels into parables. The digital realm, far from being a spiritual wilderness, can be sanctified ground, where the seeds of faith are sown across global networks.

John 17 is part of Jesus' farewell prayer for His disciples, emphasizing the importance of remaining unified and sanctified in God's truth. This prayer extends to all believers, urging us to uphold and spread His teachings. The modern digital landscape, as seen in the MyCross study, is a new mission field where these prayers for sanctification and unity are actively being answered.

In a world connected by screens, let us connect hearts with the sanctifying truth of God’s Word.
